Retailers can stop single-use bag pollution

July 3, 2018

Just because the Texas Supreme Court struck down bag ordinances in Texas doesn't mean that retailers have to pollute our state with single-use bags. If Texas retailers would simply refrain from using single-use bags, they could save money and reduce pollution.

Big retailers like HEB, Walmart, and Target could still keep bags out of their stores in bag free communities. Use this online tool to send them a message: keep bags out of our community!

In addition, Kroger announced in 2018 that it was phasing out single-use bags nationally by 2025. Tell Kroger to take that action in Texas as soon as possible.
